Cossack influences in Autumn

So here is a post about some boots, some handmade and some second hand gear.

The boots are at least 6 years old, and they fit my skinny calves! No gumboots here!

This outfit has my "home decorated by The Artist "jacket with the cowl I showed in my "Handmade" post.

Inspired by Jean of Dross into Gold I made some armlets out of the sleeves of a jacket I bought secondhand for Bushy that didn't fit.

And finally we have the gorgeous paisley dress (secondhand of course)

Here is the back of my hair...radical eh?

The next outfit has a fabulous coaty cardigan which I will live in in Winter. With a hood!

$15 secondhand!

My trusty armlets again, and a wonderful lambskin vest I nicked from Bushy.

So soooft!

 With my rings...

And earrings selected by The Artist this morning (probably because they are the shiniest!)

Next we have the spectacular checked shirt and armadillo belt - both secondhand, and the jazzy
Cossack pants.

This glamorous pose is to show how the pattern on my tights matched the argyle socks you can't quite see!

So there we have it.

Will be linking up to Secondhand First at The Citizen Rosebud and Sheila's Shoe Shine at Ephemera. Come and have a peek at the glories!

'Til next time, keep creating
Jazz

  1. Those boots were made for walk'n ...and all those things made by you (you just have to imagine that phrase sung in John Cash's voice)...

  2. I LOVE the lace-up boots! I won't just be featuring heels at "Shoe Shine" - I promise! I have a lot of practical (yet fun and funky) shoes too.

You have a fabulous style - I'm thinking of doing something radical with my hair too. Thanks for the inspiration, Jazz!

    1. Is that what it is? Thanks for the compliment! I know, I'm in love with that dress. It also has a little wool in it, so it is warm! :-)

  4. What a fun style and so many of my fave colors! It's always so unusual to see an "opposite" season going on somewhere else... :) Love the boots, I had a similar pair years ago. And the dress is just oh such a beauty! Admire your hairstyle too. Very cool.
You have a very individual style! :)

    1. Thanks Natalia! That is a great compliment. I love being an individual. But truth to tell we are all individual in our own subtle ways :-) I love your style too. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Oh I love that galmourous pose! The armlets are great and now I am thinking I need to steal that. I have a thing for long fingerless gloves so why not armlets! I LOVE (yes that's me shouting) the paisley dress. I am mad about paisley. The only reason I'm not flying over there right now and wrestling it off you is that the neckline of it would be too high for me. So I guess I'll let you keep the dress.
    great post Jack!

  7. I'm not sure what galmourous pose you mean! You can steal the idea of the armlets, since I stole it first! But you can't have my paisley dress...no! Even if you flew here...hmmm...well maybe then :-) I never noticed the high neck until you mentioned it. I'm used to them. Warmer you know, although the arms were tight until I realised they had been taken up. With my ape arms I need all the length I can get, so I freed them from their prison...Ahhh...much better.

  8. Hey Jazz!! I can't believe that I'm so late in responding, but THANK YOU!!!! I hope you didn't give up on me, and I hope you didn't think I was just a thoughtless idiot. Your version of armlets is brilliant. I love the fabric and the way they enhance the outfit. I mostly use sweaters, but now I'm inspired to try different iterations. I love all the variety you present here, so many pieces to admire. I wish it was Fall here...I want to layer!!!!!!!!!!! XXOO

  10. Hee! How crazy is life. I thought I was copying you, and now you will be copying me. No I didn't look for a reply. I love the layering here too, the summer was too hot, at times 40 deg Celsius! Thanks for your nice comments. You are one of my style icons!
